Sunset view, as seen through the pinhole of a camera obscura room.*
*”Camera obscura” translates literally to “dark room”. This series comprises images created by turning a house or building into a camera by blocking all light entering a space except for that coming in through a tiny hole. The outside scene is transposed on inside of the room, wandering across the walls and ceiling in real time. By photographing this view with a conventional camera, I am preserving this ephemeral image, combining ancient processes of light with modern image making methods.
